Enrolling your child in an early childhood program is a big decision and for many parents it can be an emotional roller coaster. Currently the biggest questions are:

What are you doing in response to COVID-19 and do you require masks?

How do I trust these strangers to watch my baby?

Who will help them when they cry?

What happens if they get sick?

Fox Valley Montessori School has policies and plans in place with the safety of our staff and students at the forefront of those plans.  We have implemented the guidelines sent from Illinois State Board of Education and from DCFS.

Our trained teachers specialize in Early Childhood and have many hours of specialized training, including CPR/First Aid, ALICE training, Social Emotional Learning in addition to years working with children in a classroom.  The staff at Fox Valley Montessori are required to attend a minimum of 15 hours of continuing education per year and all have been background checked.  We also complete mandatory reporter training so you can trust your child is in good hands.

We have a variety of techniques to help your child make a smooth transition into our school.  We offer a welcoming classroom with the mixed ages which offers an older child to set an example for the younger child.   At Fox Valley Montessori School, our rooms are broken up into multi-age groupings keeping our school authentic to the Montessori philosophy.  Our programs work together which means an easy transition between programs as your child matures.

Montessori education is known for the saying “Teach me to do it myself”.  Fox Valley Montessori School can help your child develop their independence and self discipline.  Our rooms are designed to foster independence with low shelves and materials which are created for children’s small hands.  They are encouraged to be responsible for their classroom environment by helping to clean up spills and putting away their own materials when finished with them.

We have spots available in all of our programs for the 2021-2022 school year. FVMS is continuing to monitor state and local guidelines, and will be making recommended modifications to prioritize the health and safety of our students and families.
